Don Keatch

True to our “60’s and 70’s” heritage, each one of us has done their “own thing” since writing that final exam in the final year of Commerce, spring 1972. That ‘thing’ might involve jobs, careers, partners, kids, grandkids, (great-grandkids!), and travels.

I met my wife Sheila in 2nd year Commerce. Since then, we have made a home in Winnipeg and raised a family that now includes grandkids here and in the Maritimes.

I am forever grateful for the education I received at U of M Commerce. Although I have taken the path “less well traveled” (through the private sector!), things have worked out, due in no small part to the support of professors, fellow classmates and friends at the U of M.

As a final note, I have been fortunate enough to be involved in our Class of ’72 Scholarship fund. It has been great to meet the young, aspiring students who are so appreciative of our (your!) support.

Sheila and I look forward to seeing you in September!

Don
